Chicago's Navy Pier

The Spirit of Chicago boat on the left, a large body of water, the lighthouse on the right, and the sunset. This was the view i had envisioned when I walked into the Navy Pier's harbor early October. Each subject complemented each other to an extent as if they belonged together to create this dramatic sight. My favorite was the sky reflecting Lake Michigan. It was again a breathtaking view!

Afloat through the murky water
Brought to life.
White, lavender, yellow, red...
A beauty in sight. --- Jane Pauline
Lotus flower is very interesting as they literally sink to the bottom of water. As it blossoms, it floats to the top. This particular fact has writers compare its wonder to our everyday lives:
It makes me wonder how we, as humans, have this natural power inside to somehow make everything just alright. Not perfect, but just alright.Problems do rise and it is a burden to our everyday living, but there is always tomorrow. There is always HOPE. --- Jane Pauline

"Diamonds are a girl's bestfriend" and so they say. In my opinion, this is true because for me there is a valuable meaning behind it.
A meaning that will flourish through out time.
A meaning that is cherished dearly.
A meaning that two lovers accept and share for each other.
That meaning called Love...

The Story
It was a bright and sunny day, as I remembered, in the month of February 2010, when he finally said "Let's go buy the ring today." Was he kidding? hahaha...
It was the perfect month to propose, I thought.
How sweet of him!
But I have to admit, I was anxious and excited.
It took two jewelry stores until we found it.
"It's perfect! That's definitely the one," I told him, and he agreed.
After two weeks of resizing, he officially proposed in the car.
He opened the box and said, "Will you marry me?"
Of course, I smiled with laughter and said, "Yes, I will!"
And, he puts the ring on my finger and we sealed it with a kiss!
It was a beautiful day filled with jokes and laughters as we drove down the road.

Thoughts
Being engaged is such an overwhelming feeling of joy and excitement especially to the one I truly love. I never thought I would reach this far.
It's like a princess who found her prince.
A fairy tale that will last many generations to come.
A story that will end to a happily-ever-after.
