Sunflower

Canon EOS 7D
Tallest and brightest of them all.
A face like the sun.
Rays of yellow petals stand about.
Wow, it's so grand!

Windmill

Photographer: Jane Pauline
Canon EOS 7D
Windmill
Standing still
On fields of green grass;
Blue sky surrounds you
The sun shines
The wind blows
And there,
Round
And round
You go

Can't life be this way?
Simple, yet productive?
Stationary, yet meaningful?

Thanksgiving

Aiza, Me(Jane), Joane, Monica, and Chette
Some think Thanksgiving is all about the turkey, but let's seat back and really know what Thanksgiving is all about.
History reveals that Thanksgiving began when Pilgrims arrived to a land where Native Americans existed. Most of the Pilgrims that arrived were very ill and were helpless. The natives helped the Pilgrims by teaching them how to grow crops. The very first crops the Pilgrims harvested was celebrated with a gathering of their people and the natives. That gathering is known today as Thanksgiving Day. It was a celebration of being fortunate to have their first harvested crops.
Today, Thanksgiving is being celebrated a little differently. Families and relatives usually gather in a table full of different kinds of food. Turkey is the main coarse of the meal along with pumpkin pie, sweet potato, and many more. Families celebrate it as being thankful of what they have.

What am I thankful for this year?
I am thankful for having a family and a second family who accepts me.
I am thankful for having friends, new friends, who I can share stories and laughters with.
I am thankful for Michael and his love, which I will always treasure.
I am thankful for what life has offered me this year.

My Hero, My Love, and My Life

Michael is his name. And yes, it was love at first sight. The first time I saw him, I already knew he was the one. The one I will grow old with, the one I will love unconditionally, and the one I can share everything with. Surprisingly, he felt the same way.
All those times when there were so many issues at home, which I could not withstand any longer, he was always there to rescue me. He knew I would be a better person in a place where there's no hatred. A place he introduced to what a family should be. A place where I can actually call home. He is right! He changed who I was and brought the good side out. I learned to love, and I learned to value life even more.
He taught me so many things that I thought never existed.
He is my hero!
